I have tutored students in grades 6-12 from Japanese and American and British schools for 3 years. I have extensive experience tutoring math students in both Japanese and English. I have done a lot of test prep with students for SAT General and Subject Tests, as well as TOEFL iBT and Eiken. Hobbies

I like to spend my time reading books about poststructuralist philosophy, with a focus especially on minority studies (such as feminist theory and critical race theory.) My passion apart from teaching is music - I love to sing jazz and indie songs and play the guitar and piano. I love helping students explore their own interests, and gain the skills necessary to express their passions through their writing. I enjoy debate and won first place for a national debate competition 3 years ago.
