I have tutored students in grades 6-12 from Japanese and American and British schools for 3 years. I have extensive experience tutoring math students in both Japanese and English. I have taught IB, IGCSE, AP, American school system, and Japanese school system curriculum. I have done a lot of test prep with students for SAT General and Subject Tests, as well as TOEFL iBT and Eiken. I can teach history, comparative literature, and gender studies, as well as literature and modern philosophy for high school students. I have written numerous academic papers and essays and I am well equipped to coach writing. I am very knowledgeable about American college applications, especially from a Japanese / international student perspective. I guide students through the Common Application and help revise and edit their personal statements. I am also familiar with the college application process, as well as financial aid and scholarship options, for Japanese universities with English programs.
